Personal Biography

Franz Yang-Mocnik (1951, Völkermarkt, Second Austrian Republic) is an artist whose works include figurative and abstract oil painting, print, and textile collages. In the 1970s, he was an assistant to the artist Wolfgang von Schaukal in Graz. Works by Yang-Močnik are held, among others, in: Museum Leopold, Vienna; graphic art collection of the Albertina, Vienna; Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Vienna; Neue Galerie Graz; and Today Art Museum, Beijing. He lives in Graz.
